What does a typical day look like for you?
No two days are ever the same. Time is split between being on site and building strong client relationships and working in the office overseeing day-to-day operations. This includes managing staff, keeping up to date with project progress, overseeing payments and cashflow, and maintaining a strategic outlook to ensure everything stays on track.
What's your favourite part of your job?
One of the most rewarding aspects of the role has been being part of the company’s journey and watching it continually grow and evolve. Playing a key role in driving that development – and seeing the wider team succeed along the way – is something I’m incredibly proud of.
Hannah
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day involves reviewing incoming tenders and assessing new opportunities, as well as managing the commercial team. I’m regularly involved in both commercial and project meetings and oversee valuations to ensure everything remains on track financially and commercially.

I really enjoy meeting new people and exploring new projects. Working across a variety of sectors keeps the role interesting and challenging, with every opportunity bringing something different.
George
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day is usually split between site and office. I’ll spend part of the day on site reviewing works and monitoring progress before heading back to the office to complete reports and write-ups. Monthly application days are focused on preparing worksheets and ensuring everything is accurate and up to date.
What's your favourite part of your job?
I enjoy that no two days are ever the same. The constant rotation and variation in the role means I’m always developing, learning and building my experience across different aspects of the business.
Helen

It’s a busy role, largely office-based, focused on pricing projects and preparing accurate estimates. A typical day involves obtaining quotations, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and reviewing material costs to ensure each project is commercially sound from the outset.
What's your favourite part of your job?
I genuinely enjoy all aspects of surveying and estimating. From assessing projects to pulling together detailed costings, it’s a part of the industry I’m passionate about and take real pride in.

What does a typical day look like for you?
What I love about this industry is the variety, no two days are ever the same. Atypical day is fast-paced and split between office-based administrative work and on-site visits, often starting early. My role requires me to manage multiple projects, focusing on reviewing contracts, tracking budgets, monitoring site progress for safety and compliance, liaising with customers, and managing supply chain partners and suppliers. One of the things I enjoy is problem-solving and guiding others.
What's your favourite part of your job?

What does a typical day look like for you?
Commercial oversight and ownership of a variety of projects; working alongside our delivery teams to ensure that we are in the best place to deliver our promises and commitments to all of our clients. This involves reviewing and subletting works, monitoring and reporting against cost and recovery of value from clients. It also involves the occasional meeting…
What's your favourite part of your job?
There is no such thing as a “typical day” – and that is the best part about my job. Every day we are presented with different people, and different challenges and objectives – the job satisfaction comes from delivering for those people and against the challenges and ultimately making someone else’s day / environment better!
Laura
